Looks like somebody took a lesson at the Lady Gaga School of Headline Grabbing Outfits before making her worldwide debut.
Nicki Minaj is the latest pop star to stir things up with her wardrobe choices, and she says it’s her intention to be polarizing!
Nicki strikes a pose on the cover of the latest issue of V Magazine, wearing a bizarre combo of body paint and way-too-risque-for-prime-time clothes.
Inside, she dishes on her style philosophy and how she controls her image through her wardrobe: “Everything I do has been approved by me personally.
My team is mostly made up of guys, but none of them would ever think about telling me what to wear or what to do with my hair.
They know that ultimately I’m gonna do what I’m gonna do.” She goes on to say, “I’m an entertainer, I like to make people laugh. Some will hate it and some will love it, but all will remember it. And that’s what I want: to be remembered.”
What do you think of Nicki’s style philosophy? Do you think the field of pop stars is getting too crowded with women who seek attention through their wardrobes?
Or does Nicki bring a unique perspective to the red carpet? Do you think it’s better to be remembered than to look put together (at least for an entertainer)? Discuss!
