Katy Perry had a very special guest in the audience on the final night of her Las Vegas residency.
The singer’s daughter, Daisy Dove, was in the crowd watching her mum at work alongside her dad, Orlando Bloom. At the end of her show, Katy discussed being a parent and paid tribute to three-year-old Daisy.
Talking about being a mum with a hangover, Katy revealed that she’s feels mum shame. She said: “I was crazy in my twenties but now I have a toddler who wakes me up at 6.30 whether I am hungover or not.
“It’s shameful to be hungover with your kids.
“I just hear, ‘Wake up mum let’s watch Minions’.
“Now I am 39, if I drink more than two drinks then the next day… bad times.
“I am re-evaluating my whole life the next day.”
In the on-stage chat, Katy explained this was her first ever time that she had combined performing with being a mum.
The mum-of-one said: “I have never done a tour or a show before being a mother and I want to say I now have a new found respect for all the mums out there who do it.
“They are raising kids, taking them to preschool, doing the sandwiches and partying.
“You guys are rock stars.
“I am so glad I joined you.”
Turning to her little girl in the audience, Katy said: “My next song is Daisy – this is your favourite song.
“We play it all the way to preschool.
“I love you so much.
“You’re my best friend and I am so glad you’re here.”
So sweet!
