Fans were overjoyed Thursday morning as a teaser of Katy Perry’s new music video for the song “Never Really Over” was released.
“She will be unveiled… #NeverReallyOver watch page live now!” the singer, designer and “American Idol” host wrote.
In the video, Perry bares her heart.
“Two years and just like that, my heart still takes me back,” she sings, while standing in the middle of a meadow. “It’s never really over.”
The full video and song come out tonight, but in the preview, you see Perry and her backup dancers do their thing in Malibu, where it was shot.
Perry said the song is all about learning to heal your heart and let go. She tweeted more of the clip, adding the caption, “Let it go.”
This is Perry’s first single in two years. The singer is engaged to actor Orlando Bloom.
