Actor Harrison Ford begged selfie-seeking fans for space on Friday as he was followed by a crowd along Newcastle Quayside.
The Hollywood superstar has caused a stir in the region as he stays in Newcastle during filming for the fifth Indiana Jones film.
here’s been excitement as he’s visited popular local restaurants and been spotted out on his bike – but it appears the Star Wars legend believes some fans have taken things too far.
On Friday afternoon he was pictured having a stern word with a group of fans, understood to have followed him along the Quayside.
A witness told ChronicleLive that the actor had left his Quayside hotel on Friday afternoon in a bid to avoid the huddle of fans who’d gathered outside.
He’s believed to have left from the back of the hotel to lunch in nearby restaurant Gusto – where he’s even rumoured to have left through the kitchen to avoid crowds.
But it’s understood the crowds caught up with him once again as he returned to his hotel.
A witness claimed he told them that he had already said he would not be signing autographs or posing for pictures and that they should go.
