In 2021, Britney Spears filed a petition with the court to end her father’s guardianship. After a years-long legal battle, Britney Spears won her freedom on September 29, 2021.

Since regaining her freedom, Britney Spears has no longer been forced to go to therapy. However, she is still continuing treatment for her mental illness.
