However, our sources say Spears has not recorded any new material yet, as the project is only starting to take shape.

Reps for Spears, Charli and Michaels did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “T.o.x.i.c” singer, 42, last released an album in 2016, titled “Glory.”
She took a break from work in 2019 and later described it as a strike,
explaining that she did not want her estranged father, Jamie Spears, to continue benefiting from her music sales during her conservatorship.
After a Los Angeles judge terminated the 13-year legal arrangement in 2021, Britney released collaborations with Elton John (“Hold Me Closer”) and Will.i.am (“Mind Your Business”) in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
Page Six first reported in August that Britney was planning on recording a new album amid her divorce from her third husband, Sam Asghari.
“She has an upcoming writers camp and is getting songs from some big artists,” a source told us at the time.
However, we’re told the Grammy winner ultimately pressed pause on returning to music to focus on the October release of her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” in which she candidly admitted to “struggling” with the idea of performing again after years of trauma.
