It’s been more than 40 years since ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,’ the second installment in the iconic movie series, hit U.S. cinemas.
But the love between its cast members hasn’t dwindled through the decades.
On Wednesday this week, the fifth and final installment of the franchise premiered at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The red carpet event was full of hugging celebrities — and not just the actors and actresses who starred in the new film.
Harrison Ford made an appearance at the event, as did Ke Huy Quan.
The latter portrayed the titular character in the original films and reprised the role in the latest instalment,
while the former played young Shanghai cab driver Short Round in ‘Temple of Doom.’
Though it’s been decades since the two starred together, they emotionally greeted each other and hugged it out at Wednesday’s event.
Quan was just 12 when he filmed ‘Temple of Doom,’ whereas Ford was in his early 40s.
When the two stepped onto the red carpet Wednesday, Quan, who recently won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ wrapped his arms around his former costar.
The two posed for numerous photos in front of eager paparazzi and answered fan questions for several minutes.
The ‘Dial of Destiny’ wasn’t the actors’ first reunion, however — the two met up at the D23 Expo last year, hardly recognising each other after so many years off of the set of ‘Temple of Doom.’
Quan, now 51, was all grown up and had just acted in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ whereas Ford, 80, was 40 years older with grey hair.
“Are you Short Round?” the older actor allegedly asked Quan at the event, the latter told Men’s Health.
