As you’ll no doubt already be aware, today marks King Charles III’s coronation – a major public spectacle including a service in Westminster Abbey, processions and plenty of celeb guests.
Speaking of celeb guests, one familiar face who was spotted amongst the well-wishers making their way into the ceremony includes the one and only Katy Perry.
Yep, the stateside songstress has made her way to London to pay her respects to King Charles, arriving alongside British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.
And while her appearance is, in itself, noteworthy, she really got tongues wagging with her choice of outfit.
Specifically, Twitter was ablaze with comments regarding the gigantic fascinator she accessorized her look with.
A pretty iconic accessory, it was a headband-style, huge, diagonal hat worn on the side of her head – with some people noting online that while it’s undeniably gorgeous, it also might block the view for people sitting behind her.
Very main character vibes, tbh.
As well as her camp af choice of headgear, Katy also wore a lilac column dress alongside a short-sleeved suit jacket with a purple fabric corsage on the lapel.
Several commentators on Twitter pointed out that the choice of colour could be a reference to a lavender skirt suit previously worn by Princess Diana.
She finished the look off with a pair of matching opera gloves, a white kiss-lock bag with Vivienne Westwood logo and a pearl Vivienne Westwood logo choker.
