Following their Valentine’s Day engagement, singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom are tying the knot soon.

Sources tell US Weekly that the 34 year old Firework hitmaker and 42 year old Pirates of the Caribbean star are planning a December wedding.

No specifics about the wedding were given, including a specific date and where the wedding may take place.

Perry is a native of Santa Barbara, California while Bloom is a U.K. native who currently lives in Los Angeles with Perry. 

Perry and Bloom first started dating in early 2016, shortly after the Golden Globe Awards that year, though they announced in February 2017 that they had split.

The couple reconciled in April 2018, with Bloom popping the question in a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal.

The happy couple showed off the elegant engagement ring in an Instagram post which Bloom simply captioned, ‘Lifetimes.’

With Bloom starring in Amazon’s hit new TV series Carnival Row and Perry returning to judge the new season of ABC’s American Idol, the couple is always busy, but they are still both committed to the relationship.

‘To be honest, that’s part of the job, right?’ Bloom said at the Television Critics’ Association’s press tour in July.

‘You have to do the ground work together, create a feeling of trust and safety so that you can spend time apart and do everything that you need to do, and still feel tethered to that person, so that you can go on a journey together,’ he added.

Perry also mentioned during a recent interview that it was important to build the ground work to support the relationship as a whole.

‘I think we’re doing really great, and we’re really doing the hard work laying a beautiful foundation before we start to build a massive house,’ the singer said.

‘I was saying it, like, emotionally. It’s important for us to do the work before we go and take this really big next step. We were both married before and it’s not the same in your 30s.’

Perry was previously married to actor/comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, while Bloom was married to supermodel Miranda Kerr from July 2010 to October 2013. Bloom has one son with Kerr, eight year old Flynn Christopher Bloom.
