“California Girl” Katy Perry sold one of her Los Angeles abodes this week for just under $7.5 million.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, first listed in October 2020, apparently served as a guest house for the pop star, Mansion Global reported at the time of the listing. Her main residence is in the same gated community.
The “American Idol” judge purchased the property in 2018 for $7.45 million, according to records with PropertyShark. Ms. Perry, 36, bought it through a trust tied to her business manager, Jeff Hinkle. He did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Located in the “guard-gated celebrity enclave of Hidden Valley,” the residence is hidden behind another set of gates, according to the listing with Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland, who did not respond to a request for comment.
Spread out over 4,410 square feet, the home offers a living room with a fireplace and French doors that lead to the lawn, a formal dining room, an eat-in kitchen and a family room with built-in shelving and a bar, the listing said.
There are two wings, one that houses the primary bedroom suite—complete with two walk-in closets, a sitting area, a veranda and a bathroom with soaking tub—and the other that has an additional bedroom suite and the office and gym, as per the listing.
In other real estate forays, Ms. Perry sold two multimillion-dollar properties to Michael Chow, founder of the Mr. Chow restaurant chain, in 2019 for a total of $12.7 million, according to public records.
She also tried to buy a convent from a group of nuns in 2017.
