The ‘Queen of Rap’ Nicki Minaj was again seen showing off her wining moves to Pamputtae’s 2016 single Da Wine Ya on social media this week.
From the looks of it, the rap icon was out with friends at a restaurant when the sounds of the Dancehall track began to play.
As the hook blared “Oh Gawd mi a go kill him wid dah wine yah,” Nicki was seen with one hand gripped around hubby – Kenny Petty’s neck, as she glided along his torso and swirled her waistline in indecent proportions.
Pamputtae re-shared the post on her Instagram page and wrote, “Big to @nickiminaj yuh a kill yuh man wid dah wine deh , Thank you @youngmoney for sharing this. Love and respect 🙏 ❤”
“One thing @nickiminaj ago dance to a Pamputtae,” she added in a comment.
It’s not the first time Minaj has celebrated with the song. Last September, she also gave Pamputtae a huge big up on social media after treating her ‘barbs’ to another clip.
“Swipe for a surprise. The vintage dancehall stank face & slow whine ummm chile if glam not hyping u up like this at 4 in the mornin then 🤪🙃 😂🩰 dancing to @pamputtae 💞💞💞,” Minaj wrote at the time.
Da Wine Ya was produced by Dancehall singer/producer Demarco on the Tropical Punch Riddim in 2016, which also featured singles from Vybz Kartel, Spice, I-Octane, Charly Black and several others.
The Chun Li rapper also began following the Jamaican deejay on IG and revealed that one of her favorite Dancehall tracks was Advertisement – a song Pamputtae recorded for Jet Life Records in 2018.
Pamputtae later revealed in an interview with The STAR that Nicki consented to a remix of the song and even sent her a recording of some verses.
“Nicki Minaj showed me some real love, and so I reached out to tell her thanks for acknowledging me, and then she replied by telling me say Advertisement a fi har favourite track. I make sure use the chance to put all the positive energy in the air for a remix.”
“Then she say, send me your email and make me send you a drop. Me frighten fi hear har a say a Pamputtae season now when me listen the recording. It was unbelievable and anybody woulda wonder.
When you hear the name Nicki Minaj, is a queen that, and if she can acknowledge me, mi haffi question it, because of my status; and memba people did a talk say me nuh hot or me nuh have nuh hot song,” Pamputtae said.
So far, fans are yet to see a Nicki Minaj and Pamputtae collab on the remix. Since that exchange, however, the Dancehall deejay released the single Phone Screen in October and most recently Show Dem Love that dropped earlier this month.
