Nicki Minaj appeared to be attempting to bring her album title to life when she stepped out on Los Angeles yesterday.

The rapper was sporting candyfloss locks as she headed out to splash some cash in Beverly Hills.

But Nicki took her love of Barbie pink even further, as she was seen driving a car in her favourite bright hue.

And the 29-year-old completed her themed look with a slick of frosted pink lipstick.

The star was wearing a dusty rose dress with a denim jacket, black tights and a pair of furry moon boots.

The Super Bass singer indulged in some retail therapy as she hit designer stores Chanel and Giuseppe Zanotti.

And she clearly found a few things to her liking as she was seen speeding off in her Barbie car with several bags from the high-end retailers.

She made sure to take the time to check that her bright locks were picture perfect in her car mirror before she drove off with her friends.

Nicki is gearing up for an appearance at tomorrow’s star-studded Grammy Awards, where she will perform her new track Roman Holiday.

She is also nominated for three gongs at the ceremony, for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and Best Rap Performance for her duet with Drake, Moment 4 Life.

Nicki had the honour of performing during the half-time show at the Super Bowl last week alongside Madonna and fellow rapper M.I.A.

The trio collaborated on Madonna’s latest single, Give Me All Your Luvin’.
