There’s no doubt Nicki Minaj is a leopard print fan, and she often dons the design for her numerous public appearances.

But the rapper might have gone overboard with her love for all things animal-style today as she stepped out in an ensemble almost entirely representing large cats.

The blonde certainly drew in attention as she arrived at LAX airport, standing out with her peroxide locks, pink pout and futuristic sunglasses.

But the 29-year-old seemed to have gone crazy in her approach to dressing as she clashed her funky tights with a bright pink version of the print on her bag.

Accompanied by her boyfriend Safaree Samuels, the star was touching down in Los Angeles to carry out a signing.

Minaj is promoting her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and tweeted about a possible outfit change in preparation for the event.

She posted on micro-blogging website, Twitter: ‘LA signing in 2 hrs!!! Should I #DressUp or #DressDown yall???’

Nicki was arriving from the Big Apple where she made appearances on The Today Show to sing her tune Starships and perform a surprise concert in Times Square.

She brought the famous area to a standstill on Friday evening to entertain 30,000 fans.

The pop star teamed up with mobile phone company Nokia and performed a medley of her hits.

The mini-set was brought to a visually spectacular close as graphics on large LED screens appeared to show 60-foot high waves cascading down a building behind Minaj, choreographed to a DJ Doorly remix of her popular new single Starships. 

The ocassion was filmed as part of the star’s video for the remixed track.

She tweeted: ‘Just had my all time #moment4life. Thank u sooo much! The crowd that was staring back @ me tonite (sic)…smh (shaking my head). #one4thebooks – a sea of amazing ppl (people). Wow.’
