In testament to close their celebrity friendship is, Ariana Grande helped Nicki Minaj escape a wardrobe malfunction at the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday.

As Minaj made her way to the stage at Radio City in New York to accept the award for “Best Hip Hop,” Grande leapt up to lend a helping hand.

She grabbed the sheer train on Minaj’s dress, which had become tangled, and helped guide the “Chun-Li” singer up to the stage.

Minaj thanked her “baby” Grande on stage during her acceptance speech.

“I’m so proud of you,” she said about Grande’s release of her new album, Sweetener. “I’m so freaking proud of you Ariana!”

From the crowd, Grande mouthed back, “I love you.”

The duo have a long history of collaborations including 2014’s “Bang Bang” (also with Jessie J) and “Get On Your Knees” and 2016’s “Side to Side.” And they often tweet about their friendship.
