The media mogul dazzled on the red carpet at ‘The Color Purple’ world premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday
Oprah Winfrey is touching on the work that has gone into her recent weight loss.
The media mogul — who dazzled in a tight, long-sleeved purple gown while posing on the red carpet at The Color Purple world premiere on Wednesday — discussed her slimmed-down transformation.
“It’s not one thing, it’s everything,” Winfrey, 69, told Entertainment Tonight at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Per the outlet, Winfrey also stressed just how much she’s had to do to achieve her new look. “I intend to keep it that way,” she said, adding, “I was on that treadmill today.”
The television personality accessorized her all-purple red carpet ensemble with a glittering purple clutch bag and purple slingback heels that featured a silver embellishment. Her hair, meanwhile, had been styled into curls and she wore dangling silver earrings.
Winfrey is a producer of the upcoming movie musical and she also played the character Sofia in the original 1985 film, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
The new film, which is set to hit theaters on Dec. 25, is based on Alice Walker’s 1982 novel and is an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production.
