Katy Perry has been invited to stay with Rihanna in Barbados following her split from Russell Brand, it has been claimed.

The 23-year-old singer, who organised Perry’s hen night before her wedding to comedian Brand, is said to have reached out to the star in the wake of the news that their marriage had come to an end.

And now Perry, who is currently in Hawaii, is said to be considering jetting to the Caribbean to be with her best friend.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katy is hardly speaking to anyone right now, but she called Rihanna as soon as she heard Russell was filing for divorce.’

‘Katy was embarrassed about calling her parents as they’d been so against Russell in the first place, but Rihanna was a great support for her and she really helped to calm her down.

‘When Rihanna told her the news, she suggested flying down to Barbados to stay with her and her family.’

However, the Daily Mirror claim that while the pair have been in touch, Rihanna suggested a girly getaway to Mexico rather than Katy flying to Barbados.

Meanwhile, as Perry is in Hawaii, Brand is staying in a £1,000-a-night suite at London’s Savoy Hotel.

Asked how he was feeling as he was seen leaving the hotel, Brand told The Sun: ‘I’m all right’. He is then said to have sarcastically added: ‘Everything is perfect’.

It has also been claimed that Brand is now considering moving back to England in the wake of the split.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘He would be keen to move back to Britain as he needs a fresh start.

‘It’s a terrible time for him and despite his growing fame in America, he wants to cope with it by being back on home turf.’

It was claimed yesterday that Brand is set to make up to £20million from his divorce, as he is in line for the huge lump sum in a 50/50 split of the couple’s earnings even after just 14 months of marriage.
