Tom Cruise’s BMW M5 supercar was stolen while he was filming the movie “Mission: Impossible 7” in Birmingham, England.
The car is worth about 2.6 billion VND and was used in some action scenes of the movie.
The car was parked at the Grand Hotel, about a 2-minute walk from the nearest police station.
Local police were reported about the theft at around 2 a.m. and began an investigation.
According to the initial investigation, the thief used a relay scanner to copy the signal from the BMW M5’s ignition device and stole the car in just a few minutes.
The car was found at a location near the town of Smethwick, England, over the weekend.
Police believe the thief may have used the car to commit other thefts.
They are appealing to the public for information if they see the vehicle.
This theft was an unfortunate incident for Tom Cruise and the “Mission: Impossible 7” film crew. The stolen car was used in several key scenes of the film and will need to be replaced.
